ELICINA BACKGROUND

Believe it or not Elicina Skin Renewal Cream is made in Chile from the secretions of snails.

Chilean farmers bred snails for export to the French food market. The snail handlers began to notice how soft their hands had become and that minor cuts healed without infection or scarring.

A scientific study of the Chilean snail secretion confirmed that it contained an extraordinary combination of natural substances (see right column) that prove beneficial to the healing of human skin.

Fifteen years later Elicina was patented by the World Organisation of Patents in Geneva and was launched on to the South American cosmetic market in 1995.
